I am a Clinical Psychologist and Professor of Suicide Prevention at the Thompson, Institute. My research focus is understanding the modifiable biopsychosocial determinants of health and wellbeing and developing and evaluating interventions to promote health and wellbeing.

I am a senior lecturer in the Discipline of Health Behaviour Sciences within the School of Medicine and Public Health. I am a Chief Investigator in the Priority Research Centre in Health Behaviour at the University of Newcastle, and an Associate Investigator in the Priority Research Centre in Physical Activity and Nutrition at the University of Newcastle.
